New Government Book Scheme for 2024/25 school year
(Free schoolbooks for all post-primary Junior Cycle students - 1st Year to 3rd Year Students)
- The Government has introduced a new scheme from the start of the new school year 2024/25. Under this scheme all schoolbooks and core classroom resources for students in Junior Cycle years in post-primary schools will be provided to students directly by their school.
- Schoolbooks will be provided free to every student on loan at the start of the school year. Core classroom resources will also be provided free to students by the school.
- Funding under this scheme will not include the purchase of digital devices
- The schoolbooks will be on loan to the students and must be returned at the end of the schoolyear or at the end of Junior Cycle (as decided by the school) or if the student leaves the school.

There is also the facility to purchase Senior Cycle Management Software for students who wish to continue using their iPad in 5th Year.
SENIOR CYCLE MANAGEMENT SOFTWARE RENEWAL - 2 year license required for 5th Year students who wish to continue using iPad at LCC.

LCC requires that all iPads in use at the school have Wriggle's Managed Service and Support installed
as part of their technology bundle. Students wishing to continue using iPads at senior Cycle will need to
renew management software via Wriggle’s online store.

To avoid the risks associated with unmanaged devices and to ensure you are fully supported to get the
full benefits from your school device, you will need to purchase Wriggle's Managed Service and
Support as part of your technology bundle.
When my child entered first year, what kind of license was purchased?
A 3 year junior cycle bundle license was purchased by you as your child started with us. This license
expires during the summer. A new 3 year license is needed for senior cycle. If this isn't purchased,
students will lose access to their licensed accounts.
