Physical Education Department

Physical Education is an essential part of Luttrellstown Community College's education programme. With obesity levels rising in Ireland, all students are encouraged to participate in PE lessons each week. PE in LCC is a broad and balanced course and it encompasses many different sports from each of the seven strands (invasion games, health related activity, dance, aquatics, striking and fielding, gymnastics and adventure activities) of the PE course.

Along with activities done in PE, students are encouraged to participate in the many extra curricular sports that are on offer in the school. Students who participate in extra curricular activities have the opportunity to represent the school in their chosen sport. Finally, the end of the school year finishes off with huge excitement with the LCC sports day. Class groups from each year group compete against each other to win the 1st year, 2nd year, 3rd year, Junior and Senior Sports day trophies.
