Building Project Update

At our most recent BOM meeting the Chair welcomed Paul Mc Evoy Head of Organisation Services Co. Dublin VEC who outlined current progress on accommodation matters for LCC. Kevin Bowden Chair of the Parent Council was present for this information.

Paul Mc Evoy Co. Dublin VEC explained the following; that the DoES is the client on this build and they have contracted HKTT as project managers. Schedules of accommodation have been agreed for phase one and phase two.

Phase one (for 650 students)is part of a rapid bundle and our project will progress at a good pace next year. Tenders will be sought in the new year and contractors pre-qualified in the same time span. Planning permission will be sought early in the new year and Fingal Co.Co. are working with all concerned to progress the project.

The Principal will attend a meeting in late January with the project managers, the DoES and Mr Mc Evoy. She will then report any further progress to the BOM. The arrangements for further temporary accommodation were also outlined by Mr Mc Evoy. Members were very pleased with the building plans outlined.
